You MUST complete this form to in order volunteer on any Klein ISD campus. The Volunteer Application is an annual application. 

Security is a priority in Klein ISD so all volunteers must reapply every year.

Helping Hands

Are you ready to get involved and volunteer at our school?  Can you give a few minutes or a few hours of your time to help our teachers? If so, we would LOVE for you to join us for some easy to do, much needed and very appreciated volunteer work.

You will be completing simple tasks for our teachers, such as cutting, sorting, stapling, gluing, organizing, counting class sets or just prepping for extra fun activities all while meeting & visiting with other Kuehnle parents. No experience is required and we provide all the supplies.  It’s that easy!

Come and Go as you please anytime from drop-off to 11am!  

Just sign in at the front office and tell them you are here for Helping Hands and they will show you where to go.

**Remember! - You must have a driver’s license and secure a badge when you arrive on campus.**

Grades PK - 2

Fridays from 3-3:20 p.m.

  • Sign up via the Signup Genius
  • The Teacher will provide the book(s) to read. *Please do not bring your own.
  • Please bring your driver’s license to be scanned each time.
  • Upon arrival, please sign in at the front office and secure a badge. 
  • If you would like to change your student’s "end of day" transportation for that day please let the front office staff know when you sign in.
  • Proceed to the teacher's classroom where you are assigned to read that day.

WHO: Who are WATCH D.O.G.S.?  

        Dads, step-dads, granddads, uncles, and all father-figures who are approved volunteers

WHAT: What is the Watch D.O.G.S. Program? 

        THE WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program is a father involvement, educational initiative with 2 primary goals 1) to provide positive male role models for students demonstrated by their presence that education is important and 2) to provide and extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.  

WHEN: When can I be a Watch D.O.G.?

        Our goal is to have every dad spend at least one day this year at Kuehnle to be a positive male role model and provide an extra set of eyes and ears.

WHERE: Where do we go? 

        During your day at Kuehnle Elementary you will have the opportunity to volunteer in several classes as well as various locations throughout the school.

 

WHY: Why should I be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad?

 

        To be a positive male role model, to gain a glimpse into your students everyday world and to gain a greater awareness of the positive impact that you can have on your child’s life.
